Big news out of Frankfurt earlier this week: the all-new 2017 Sportage made its grand debut. Pretty easy on the eyes, right? The redesigned Sportage is a bold and new direction for the compact SUV. Taking inspiration from modern fighter jets, the Sportage finds harmony in the tension between sharp feature lines and smooth surfacing. What’s more, the 2017 model’s iconic tiger-nose grille has been separated from the headlamps. When combined with the quad fog lights along with the lower and wider grille, the result is a distinctly sporty and imposing appearance.   While the new design is impressive, the all-new Sportage’s appeal goes well beyond the surface. The interior has been completely rethought, boasting a wide, driver-oriented dashboard, luxurious materials, more passenger space and greater soundproofing measures. You’ll feel like you’ve arrived well before you reach your destination. Safety, as always, is a top priority for Kia. Some of the Sportage’s many safety features include ultra-high tensile steel used to help shape the body and provide a dramatically stronger structure. Another feature is Autonomous Emergency Braking which uses a radar detection system to distinguish a potential collision with another vehicle or pedestrian, and helps to bring the car to a stop. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be a Kia without advancement in modern technology, convenience, and comfort. The new 2017 Sportage is outfitted with an inductive wireless charger for mobile devices enabling users to charge their phone without a wire connection! Plus, Android Auto is available to complement the 7 or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, giving drivers the familiar experience found in Google Maps, Google Play Music, Google Hangouts Messaging and other Android services.
