Let Winter Come

14. November 2016 10:13 by Administrator | 0 Comments

As someone famous once said, “Winter is coming.” Yes, the coldest season of the year is just around the corner and some places are already getting snow. But fear not! Kia has you covered with great seasonal features.     Icy hills and slippery highways don’t stand a chance against Kia’s performance and traction features. Dynamax AWD is an intelligent and efficient all-wheel drive system that actively monitors driving conditions and anticipates action, rather than reacting to conditions only after they occur. Electronic stability control monitors the vehicle’s response to your throttle, brake and steering inputs in tight corners and evasive-maneuver situations. And the icy road indicator lights up on your dash to let you know when it’s freezing outside and that road conditions might be a bit slick. No matter how chilly it gets, it’s nice to know you’ve got heat to help you power through. With an available heated steering wheel and heated seats in many Kia models, you’ll be comfy from your fingertips to, well, you know. Automatic temperature control allows you to simply select the auto button on your temperature dial to help you reach your optimal temperature — just set it and forget it. And to help show you the way, the windshield wiper de-icer warms up your wipers to leave you with streak-free visibility. So, whether you love or hate that winter is coming, Kia will make sure you’re ready when it arrives.

The 2016 Sorento: Capable quality

17. March 2016 16:21 by Administrator | 0 Comments

Since its launch, the 2016 Sorento has attracted the attention of auto industry professionals and drivers alike. For us, it’s no surprise that the available features in this midsized SUV have appealed to such a broad range of fans. After all, it was made for life’s adventures – whatever yours may be. But all of this attention isn’t due to simply including features like an available advanced Dynamax All-Wheel Drive system or any of the advanced safety features, it’s due to the quality and performance of them.   For instance, it’s the little things, like how the available auto-levelling Xenon HID headlights flow with the sleek lines and sculpted contours of the Sorento that garnered it the iF Design (link to:http://ifworlddesignguide.com/search?q=sorento#/page/entry/151841-kia-sorento) and Red Dot Design Awards (link to: http://red-dot.de/pd/online-exhibition/work/?lang=en&code=27-01738-2015&y=2015&c=166&a=0). Or how the use of Ultra High-Strength Steel throughout its structure contributed to it becoming an IIHS Top Safety Pick (link to: http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/kia/sorento-4-door-suv/2016) and an NHTSA Five Star Safety Pick (link to: http://www.safercar.gov/Vehicle+Shoppers/5-Star+Safety+Ratings/2011-Newer+Vehicles/Vehicle-Detail?vehicleId=10023).         The Sorento doesn’t just look the part, it acts it. All the design, features, technology, safety, and performance you want in an SUV is there. What makes it such a standout performer is that you can get all of these premium features without the premium price. This puts the Sorento into a category of its own, where it’s been able to top some of the biggest, most sought after names in the industry in quality rankings – like it did in 2015 when JD Power named it the highest ranked midsized SUV in Initial Quality (link to: http://canada.jdpower.com/microsites/kia/home). Then just a few months ago, Automotive Journalist Association of Canada (AJAC) named the 2016 Sorento the Best New SUV/CUV (link to: http://www.ajac.ca/web/) in the $35,000 - $60,000 segment, which is quite a feat considering the competition it was up against.   If you’re in the market for a new SUV, then there’s no doubt you’re also looking for one with great reviews to go along with impressive accolades. When it comes to reviews, most look to Consumer Reports for their clear, honest and unbiased product testing. Now, based on their most recent testing, we’re asking you to do the same. Whether you’re a current owner or future buyer, you have to see how 2016 Sorento ranked based on its performance, reliability, consumer satisfaction and safety on the Consumer Reports site [LINK TO: http://www.consumerreports.org/cars/best-cars-top-picks-2016/]. You can also find out what they loved about the engine, interior and crash test results by reading their full report [LINK TO: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/kia-sorento.htm].     For more information about the 2016 Sorento and its full list of exciting available features that were made for your life’s adventures, visit Kia.ca/Sorento [LINK TO: www.kia.ca/sorento].

The 2016 Sedona: Safety First

4. November 2015 13:29 by Administrator | 0 Comments

The all-new 2016 Sedona features beautifully crafted, luxurious features like the available Nappa leather wrapped, reclining, heated rear seats with leg rests and available tri-zone automatic climate control. Which is why you’d never want to see it in any dire situations, like dangling from a crane for example. But sometimes to prove a point, you need to go to extreme lengths – or heights. You see, in the case of the Sedona, these luxurious features weren’t the first thing on our engineers’ minds – the families who will be driving it were. So before thinking of how many cup holders should be included and what seating material families would enjoy, they instead thought of how we can make this the safest possible vehicle for families to enjoy. Safety starts from the ground up. With the Sedona, that means using 52% advanced high-strength steel throughout the body to provide front and roof reinforcement as well as front and side impact dispersion to ensure your family’s protection in the event of a collision. Working with this rigid structure is an advanced system of front-impact airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. But to prevent a collision from occurring is a long list of active safety systems like the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system, the Traction Control System (TCS), Cornering Brake Control (CBC) and many more advanced systems that gives you assured command of the road. Now, of course seeing all of this hard work being dropped 41 feet from a crane would be an utter shame. But to demonstrate how all of this focus on safety has paid off and why the Sedona is so deserving of a Top Safety Pick by IIHS and a 5-Star Safety Rating by NHTSA, we did just that in a new kind of crash test video and we’d love for you to see the results below.   Learn more about the all-new 2016 Sedona and all of its safety features at www.kia.ca/Sedona
